STUDENT GUIDELINES

A. ATTENDANCE

Class timeslots are reserved for a student upon payment of the initial reservation/ deposit fee. Absences must therefore be avoided and will incur full charges since these timeslots cannot be easily assigned to another student at short notice. However, the following will be accorded due consideration:

  1. Planned absences A student is allowed a leave of absence for mission related activities (e.g mission conferences, Faith Academy breaks, ministry trips to future assignments) one week per quarter up to a maximum of 4 weeks per year of study. A 50% deduction on regular fees is given provided a notice is submitted to the administrator at least 2 weeks before the scheduled absence. However, failure to return to class as scheduled will incur full charges and possible forfeiture of reserved timeslots. The student then has to reenroll and take the available timeslots.
  2. Prolonged absence due to illness/medical reasons – a 50% deduction on regular fees is given upon submission of a certification from an attending doctor or care-giver. This deduction is applicable only up to a maximum of 2-week absence due to illness, unless other arrangements are made with the administrator. After two weeks, a student will be considered dropped and will forfeit reservation fees and reserved timeslots.
  3. There will be NO CHARGES on:
    1. Suspension of classes by His Name or by local authorities due to natural calamities ( eg. typhoons and flooding) and other emergency situations ( eg. rallies, transport strike).
    2. Declaration of a public holiday by the national or local government.
    3. Cancellation of classes at the request of His Name for reasons such as unavailability of teachers, etc.

No refunds are given but the above-mentioned credits will be applied or deducted

from the tuition fees due the following month.

B. REDUCTION OF CLASS SESSIONS

A student, who for any reason, wishes to reduce the number of class sessions per week he/she has originally enrolled in, may do so by submitting a written notice to the administrator. Notice should be submitted and duly noted by the administration office at least two weeks before the desired start of the new schedule. Otherwise, tuition fees based on the original schedule will continue to apply.

C. EARLY TERMINATION OF STUDIES

In the event a student has to stop his/her studies earlier than previously arranged, notification should be made as soon as possible in order to apply the initial reservation fee to his last month of study. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the reservation fee.
